Let's get started by setting you up with the proper Square notifications, and then email forwarding to ZenSales for your Square orders. Once complete, all new Square invoices will automatically show up in ZenSales.

First, you will need to make sure you have turned on Square email notifications for invoices. You can do that within your Square Settings under Notifications. Please verify the top three boxes are checked:

NOTE: Copying/CCing yourself on invoices, or using your email address as the customer's email address, will not work for ZenSales to automatically import your orders.

Next, if you don't already have it handy, you'll need to get your forwarding address from your ZenSales account. 

Visit the Outlook "Rules" settings page by clicking the button below. If prompted, log into your Outlook account.


Your screen should look something like this:

Click the "+ Add new rule" link.

Give your rule a name (Ex: "ZenSales Square Invoice Forwarding"). Under "Add a condition", click the dropdown and choose From.

Enter "invoicing@messaging.squareup.com" in the text box to the right of "From", and press ENTER.

Under "Add an action", click the dropdown and choose "Forward to".

Paste your unique ZenSales Forward Address into the text box to the right of "Forward to." NOTE: You have a ZenSales Forwarding Address that's unique to your account. It's not the same as the one in the screenshot shown below.

Click "Save" at the top of the screen.

That's it! Your orders will now automatically appear in ZenSales! 

Note: If you decide to forward emails from Square from two different Square accounts (e.g. if you have two different businesses with separate Square accounts), please ensure the invoice numbers are unique across all your accounts.
